How to apply your package of Superintendent Lawn Fertilizer to your lawn
There are a few steps to properly apply your package of fertilizer from Superintendent Lawn:
- Read the label on the package and double check your lawn area measurements to ensure the package is the correct amount for your size of lawn area
- Mow the lawn and complete all other maintenance before applying the fertilizer, as this will allow the fertilizer to reach the roots more easily.
- Spread the entire package of fertilizer evenly over the lawn using a spreader, taking care to avoid areas such as flower beds or gardens where you don’t want the fertilizer to land.
- Water the lawn thoroughly after applying the fertilizer to help it reach the roots and prevent it from drying out on the surface.
- Avoid applying fertilizer to your lawn during hot weather and avoid fertilizing during dormant season of the grass. The best month to fertilize will be March-June and September-November in North America.
- Wear gloves and safety goggles to protect your skin and eyes from the fertilizer.
- Do not fertilize your lawn within 45 days of another fertilizer application.
